Use Case 4: Find similar images in large datasets in conjunction with other software

Target group : Police/ IT-forensic

Components: DoublePics Packager / DoublePics Server

Problem:

Examination of data with other programmes and providing the results as a report table for further analysis.

Solution:

When evidence objects shall be checked for specific footage, DoublePics may cooperate with appropriate forensics programs (e.g., X-Ways).

In this case, the entire photo inventory will be transferred to DoublePics, checked. At last a feedback was given as well (category data).

Requirements:

• Reference database with categorized elements (XMLID necessary - will become the file name of .rtd file)

• a) Client/Server - environment

  • DoublePics server

  • X-Ways in conjunction with DoublePics Packager (free for server customers)

  • optional: DoublePics Monitor (free for server customers)

• b) Single workstation (alternative to client/server environment)

  • DoublePics Workstation Package
