Server version (CS)
In conjunction with DoublePics server, data synchronization can be performed centrally on a server against a reference database.
With Cockpit C/S, each individual search query may transfer parameters to the server. These options can be reconfigured for each search request.
Cockpit C/S version allows - as any server-capable software - multiple clients/users to work simultaneously without any loss of data. The database can be filled from any terminal and elements may be compared. However, only the administrator has the right to edit the reference database (Repo). Editing means creating categories, deleting files on the server, etc. The regular user has the permission to add category values, categorize scanned elements, create search jobs (query to the server, whether these images already exist) and sends the non-existing images finally to the server.
To run this version, no special Windows server or computer is necessary. The server version may be installed on any PC (which has the installation requirements). The DoublePics server runs in the background.
The DoublePics server supports all of the following operating systems:
-
Windows XP (SP3 +) 32/64
-
Windows Vista (SP1 +) 32/64
-
Windows 7 32/64 bit
-
Windows 8 32/64
-
Windows 8.1 32/64
-
Windows 10 32/64
-
Windows Server 2003/2008/2012
The memory size of DoublePics server depends on the amount of work (sum of the patterns of the reference database and the Suspect database):
An image pattern requires about 2KB RAM. That means, a reference database with 500,000 picture elements requires about 1GB RAM. Additionally there are about 100MB memory required for the source code of DoublePics server.
